Want to get out in the surf this summer? We have a huge range of sizes but which one is right for you? You’ll have to choose the board that fits three important issues. Your weight, height and your level of knowledge of the sport.
This chart is only a guide, if you are still unsure our customer services team is here to help, please do not hesitate to give us a call for some advice.
Another good rule you can use is to size your bodyboard within 2 inches either side of your Belly Button. It is perfectly okay to size up a little bit for growing kids so they have time to grow into their boards.
Our 22” mini Dart bodyboard is suitable for up to 3 years of age, however, be sure that you consider the size of your child and size up when needed.
Other things to consider
Factor some swim fins into your budget.
They're invaluable for paddling out long distances to waves. Open-heeled fins are better for bodyboarding. Swim-fin tethers will keep your fins from floating away.
Bodyboard Leash
Even though most of our bodyboards do come with leashes, some of them are very basic and not the best in rough conditions. We recommend upgrading your leash to prevent you from losing your board.
If your board doesn't come with one (and most medium to high-end boards don't), buy a leash with a strong wrist, ankle or bicep attachment, so you don't lose your board.
Bodyboard Bag
A bag will protect your board from the elements and any accidental damage.
