Honestly, mountain biking - even around Christchurch opens up to you enormously. No restrictions based on hydration budgets. It's storage is amazing alongside the easy to access magnet drinking. It's a game changer. I've even insulted some road cyclists by taking it on the road with me out country where water refill are scarce. Most importantly- it is very comfortable. Which I was skeptical about as it's 3L lugged to your back. And true to description- it is as breathable as it can be - obviously not as breathable as no pack, but very impressive.
